A few days ago I was feeling anxious about the world. I thought about the beaches back in Newfoundland and how the elements could be so harsh, yet in thinking this, I thought of how they could push the anxiety right out of my body with one gust of wind...
Standing at the edge of the ocean,
The world gone awry,
The wind so strong,
Moving through my bones,
Releasing the turmoil within,
I breathe out,
The sand sinks gently beneath my feet,
Pulling the sadness from my muscles,
Into its depths,
The waves pull back,
Taking my fears to the bottom of the sea,
I am free of this...
